Client Rights
As a licensed Home and Community Support Services Agency (HCSSA) under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 142 and TAC Title 26, Chapter 558, The Heritage Residence LLC is committed to protecting and upholding the rights of every client we serve. The following rights apply to all individuals receiving Personal Assistance Services from our agency.
Each client of The Heritage Residence LLC has the right to:
1. Be treated with dignity, respect, and courtesy at all times.
2. Participate in the development and revision of their individual service plan.
3. Receive services free from abuse, neglect, exploitation, or discrimination.
4. Privacy and confidentiality of personal and health information (HIPAA-compliant).
5. Refuse services without fear of retaliation or penalty.
6. Voice grievances or complaints and receive a timely response.
7. Access their own records and information upon request.
8. Be informed of all costs and services before care begins.
9. Choose their own physician, pharmacy, or other health care provider.
10. Receive services regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, or disability.
